About Perth Airport

As the gateway to Western Australia, Perth Airport is Australia’s fourth largest airport in terms of passenger traffic and plays a vital role in the economic and social development of the state. Only 12 kilometres from the heart of Perth, the capital of Western Australia, the airport is part of a 2,105 hectare estate that offers significant aeronautical infrastructure, and high quality commercial and industrial developments that are primely located near major access corridors. Perth Airport is operated by Perth Airport Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perth Airport Development Group Pty Ltd, under a 50-year lease with a 49-year option granted by the Commonwealth Government in 1997. Perth Airport is closely involved with Tourism WA in promoting Western Australia as an attractive destination for overseas visitors and has a strong focus on working with airlines to increase the number of passengers travelling to and from Western Australia.
