About Piece of Cake Productions
Piece of Cake Productions (POCP) is a Black-led theatre and live events production company dedicated to championing and creating opportunities for Black and Global Majority creatives in the performing arts industry. We are an Associate Company of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, and have worked with the Bush Theatre, Brixton House, Almeida Theatre, The Yard Theatre and the Royal Court. We have produced sold-out, critically acclaimed theatre productions in London such as The Route and Things I Can Laugh About Now. We also run an annual music festival in Portsmouth called Along The Coast: a day-long showcase of some of the South Coast of England's best Black and Global Majority musical talent, Black/GM-owned businesses and restaurants. Other POCP projects include: Global Majority networking nights, Scratch nights; showcases of new writing written and performed by Black/GM artists, Sip’n’Paint poetry nights, and we also do POCP’s Vintage Film Club; a quarterly screenings of vintage films starring and/or created by Black/GM creatives followed by a live Q&A with industry professionals at Soho House's Dean Street and White City cinemas.
