We bring together industry and academia to create quantum technologies which will be key for national security, critical national infrastructure and sectors such as aerospace, transport, energy, finance, communications and agriculture. We will deliver technology for atomic clocks, magnetometers, lidar, quantum inertial and quantum-classical hybrid sensors for resilient position, navigation & timing applications. QEPNT’s investigating team and their groups represent over (figure) full-time researchers in quantum technology across ten partner institutions: University of Glasgow, University of Edinburgh, University of Cambridge, Heriot-Watt University, University of Strathclyde, University of Bristol, Loughborough University, Imperial College London, Queen’s University Belfast and NPL. The UK National Quantum Technologies Programme is delivered by EPSRC, Innovate UK, Department for Business Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) and the Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN).
