Re/Assembly empowers emerging designers to lead the fashion industry’s transition to circularity. Uniting expertise in recycled and next-generation materials, upcycling design, and innovative strategies for brands and suppliers, we are a catalyst for systemic change. Our work is delivered through two high-impact programs: Live Upcycling Fashion Design Competition A live 6-hour design challenge where emerging talents transform post consumer garments and textile waste into runway-ready creations in front of fashion industry decision makers. The competition celebrates craftsmanship, reimagines waste, and showcases fashion that is both inspiring and resilient. Educational Program Through immersive workshops, we equip designers with the skills, knowledge, and mindset to turn circular ideas into action. Participants gain hands-on experience and direct mentorship from industry pioneers, building the confidence to innovate sustainably. Our inaugural showcase, featuring the Live Upcycling Competition and Education Program, will be held in partnership with PREFACE, Here/After, and Denim Dudes at PREFACE LA on January 28-29, 2026.
