About Really Good Enterprise CIC
We are a Social Enterprise that is creating an 'enterprise hub' and a warehouse providing business support services to support SME’s, Social Enterprises and Charities including our own Smart Futures Uniform Re-cycling scheme! We started life as Smart Futures CIC (a school uniform recycling project) but during the pandemic the companies house registration expired. We also ran out of space to take in the mountains of donations we were getting! We had partnered with My Life Legacy, a charity providing life opportunities for adults with learning disabilities the chance to learn some skills. However, we quickly outgrew that space too although we fully intend to carry on processing garments at their training centre too as this has provided valuable work experience for their trainees! So, we had a rethink and decided to go full steam ahead with a new project that could maximise opportunities for wider groups of people. We decided to call this Really Good Enterprise CIC. Smart Futures will continue as a project that we administer. We see this as an exciting opportunity to also create a training hub for those facing barriers to employment and long-term careers. We intend to provide work based accredited learning and experience opportunities in key growth areas, supported by a range of life skills and employability training all within one setting – our warehouse Hub called ‘Be Reet.’ Our Trainees would leave us with real work experience, qualifications and the skills to achieve along though recognised employment pathways developed in partnership with local employers. The SME’s and Enterprises we support will not only benefit from low-cost warehousing, (including storage, pick/pack and distribution) but from tailored business support from our business centre such as Finance and Admin, Website and Marketing and Business Development.
