On behalf of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), regiosuisse has been supporting the implementation of the New Regional Policy (NRP) at federal, cantonal and regional level since 2008 with comprehensive knowledge management. In 2016, knowledge management was extended to the area of coherent spatial development and thus to agglomeration policy (AggloPol) and rural and mountain policy (P-LRB). The corresponding regiosuisse offers are jointly financed by SECO and the Federal Office for Spatial Development (ARE). The people involved in regional policy, regional development and coherent spatial development have a wealth of knowledge and experience. With our knowledge management we want to open up, network and supplement this and make it available to all participants and interested parties. The aim is to contribute to the successful and sustainable development of the regions. An important role in our knowledge management is played by all those involved in the implementation of policies and programmes or otherwise involved in regional development and coherent spatial development. We therefore encourage networking and cooperation between people involved in regional policy, regional development and coherent spatial development and support them in sharing their knowledge and experience - an important factor for innovation and competitiveness in the regions.
