About Sabancı Vakfı / Sabancı Foundation
Sabancı Vakfı olarak, eşitliğin sürdürülebilirliğin temeli olduğuna inanıyor; toplumsal dönüşümün ancak bu anlayışla mümkün olacağını savunuyoruz. Eşitsizliği derinleştiren sistemik engelleri aşmak için ölçeklenebilir, sürdürülebilir ve ölçülebilir çözümler geliştirmeyi hedefliyoruz. Çalışmalarımızı dört temel alanda yürütüyoruz: Nitelikli ve kapsayıcı eğitim, toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği, iklim değişikliği ve afetlerle mücadele ile sosyal ve kültürel yaşama katılım. Bu alanlardaki etkimizi artırmak için sivil toplumun güçlenmesi ve güvenilir, şeffaf eşitlik verisinin üretilmesi yönünde de çalışmalarımızı sürdürüyoruz. ---- We believe that equality is the foundation of sustainability and that true social transformation is only possible through this understanding. Our goal is to develop scalable, sustainable, and measurable solutions to overcome systemic barriers that deepen inequality. We focus our efforts on four key areas: Quality and inclusive education, gender equality, climate change and disaster response, and participation in social and cultural life. To amplify our impact in these areas, we also work to strengthen civil society and support the production of reliable and transparent equality data. Sabanci Foundation programs and investments are guided by its main mission; "To promote social development and social awareness among current and future generations by supporting initiatives that create impact and lasting change in people's lives". Ongoing donations by other family members, and contributions from the Sabanci Group companies have helped to increase the scope of Sabanci Foundation’s efforts across Turkey. Today, Sabanci Foundation is one of the largest family foundations in Turkey.
