Singer Finance (Lanka) PLC, a subsidiary of Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC commenced its operations on 19th April 2004 as a Finance Company within the provisions of the Finance Companies Act No. 78 of 1988 as amended by Act No. 23 of 1991, which was subsequently replaced by the Finance Business Act No. 42 of 2011. Singer Finance (Lanka) PLC is registered as a Finance Company at Central Bank of Sri Lanka and it is an approved Credit Agency under Mortgage Act no. 6 of 1949 and Trust Receipt Ordinance No.12 of 1947. Hire Purchase transactions of the company are governed by the Consumer Credit Act No 29 of 1982. Shares of the company are listed on the Main Board of Colombo Stock Exchange on 17th January 2011. With an avowed mission to become the foremost finance company in Sri Lanka, Singer Finance Lanka PLC engages in the financing of capital goods, agricultural equipment and a variety of products marketed by Singer Sri Lanka, and of their own.
