St Columba’s Hospice aims to give everyone within our community access to excellent palliative care whoever they are, wherever they are and whenever they need it. Founded in 1977, St Columba’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care for patients in Edinburgh and the Lothians. The Hospice includes a day hospice, inpatient unit and a community nursing team who provide care services to people in their homes. Specialist care is given to over 1,300 people and their families each year. Our philosophy of putting patients and families is at the centre of everything we do. Making the time to explore what is important to them and the choices they have will remain fundamental to the care we deliver. We will continue to care for everyone with compassion, dignity and respect at all times throughout their Hospice experience regardless of their background, age, illness or cultural beliefs.
