About Support Our Heroes
We are Delhi-based organisation 'Support Our Heroes (SOH)" which is run by highly decorated Ex-Defence Officers of all three services. We are operational since 2017 working as a support system for the families of martyrs, disabled soldiers, Veer Naris / Widows, needy non-pensioner veterans and their families. OUR VISION - To create such society where every family of our defence martyrs & veterans is self-dependent and can live a dignified life. OUR MISSION - To build an ecosystem that provides resettlement to abandoned old veterans, ensures continued education for children of veterans and martyred soldiers & trains war widows to achieve self-sustainability. OUR PROJECTS: PROJECT INSANIYAT aims to provide humanitarian assistance to soldiers & their families as well as downtrodden people of the society. It includes relief materials, activities and items that the beneficiaries are in urgent need of at the moment. PROJECT SASHAKT aims to financially empower and provide livelihood opportunities to Veer Naris/widows of ESM/needy veterans/their dependents. It gives them the power to build businesses and provide for their families. PROJECT PITHU aims to provide a monthly ration kit to ex-servicemen (or their widows) over 65 years of age for life who served the country but are not eligible for pension because they didn't complete pensionable service (15 yrs) & took premature retirement due to various reasons. PROJECT SAKSHAM aims to support children's education of our retired needy soldiers so that financial constraints never come in the way of building a solid foundation for their future. PROJECT SEHAT aims to help needy non-pensioner soldiers and widows over 60 years of age pay for health-related costs (like Doctor consultations, Health Check-ups, Medicines etc.) so that they do not have to undergo a lot of pain and misery in the last years of their lives.
