About Tend Mental Health
We believe that good mental health care is a fundamental human right. Our vision is a world free from blame and stigma, where everyone can easily find the mental health support they deserve. We are living through a global mental health crisis: over a billion people experience poor mental health each year, and current treatment options simply cannot deliver care at the scale needed. In the UK alone, around 12 million people experience mental health problems annually, but only around 1.5 million are referred for treatment – of whom just 17% reliably recover. This gap is unsustainable. Tend is here to change that. Our evidence-backed Virtual Reality Mindfulness-Based Intervention (Tend VR-MBI) has been developed to radically transform how we help people with mental common health problems such as depression and anxiety. We provide safe, effective mental health therapy designed to scale quickly and cost-effectively – beyond what traditional therapies can offer. Through a comprehensive set of training materials, we provide the knowledge, the tools and the support to enable our products to be used confidently, safely and effectively.
