The Finance Club of IIM Kashipur is a student steered club that aims at enhancing financial awareness and knowledge alongside providing a platform to gain exposure in the domain of Finance, among the IIM Kashipur fraternity. The club also helps members with career-related information in the financial services sector. The club is the conduit which connects the members with the financial world. It achieves this through guest lectures, workshops and by disseminating information of happenings and events of the financial world to its community. The club also conducts knowledge sharing sessions for the students, national-level online quizzes, virtual stock trading games and, valuation competitions. The Club also manages the student-run investment fund, Pragati. This initiative aims to give students a real-life experience of managing money, taking academic theory from the lecture theatre and putting it to work in the financial markets. By allotting share units to student-investors, publishing monthly fact-sheets highlighting fund performance and holding knowledge sharing sessions related to investment management strategies, The Finance Club strives to utilize the fund as an educational tool to support and enhance the knowledge of budding investors and fund managers
