About The Achva - Israel's LGBTQ+ Student Association - האחווה הסטודנטיאלית הגאה
The Achva is the LGBT Student's Association in Israel. It was established with the support of The Israeli National LGBT Task Force and the National Union of Israeli Students. Our purpose is to offer a home to all LGBT groups in the academic campuses all over the country. We wish to constitute and maintain a safe and supportive space to all LGBT students. On top of operating fraternity groups, we aim to encourage LGBT student activity and initiatives by creating a pragmatic, idealogical discourse with the fraternities. We believe in our strength, as a dynamic and active community and our ability to impact our environment. We hope, by asserting a strong and positive presence in the campuses, to minimise homophobia in all its forms, and against it, to promote values of tolerance, equality and acceptance.
