About The Criterion Centre
The Criterion Centre was conceived to improve the relationship between state and society, stemming from the state's inability to deliver on the promises it makes to the people. We use sovereign capability as a lens of policy analysis, where we work with business leaders, policy advisors and academics to deliver practical solutions to Government. Our belief is simple, Britain should be open to international collaboration and cooperation but should never be overly dependent on external interests and actors. For each problem we ask two questions: - To what extent is Britain overly reliant on external actors and resources? - What is the state's capacity to deliver on the particular promise it has made? We are classically minded and our work is underpinned by five values: Life, Intellect, Wealth, Faith and Community. Complementing this we are cultivating a unique forum, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss and pioneer ethical change. The Criterion Centre is registered as a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee (official name: The Criterion Centre CIC).
