EPIC is a small Bristol charity providing £500 experience based grants for care experienced children and young people. These grants fund things like driving lessons, bikes, sports equipment, day trips and hobbies that help young people feel valued by giving them access to opportunities they might otherwise miss out on. These aren’t luxuries. They’re the moments that can help shape who we become. With over 1,700 children in care and care leavers in Bristol, the need is real - and the impact is lasting. A single opportunity can boost confidence, reduce loneliness and help a young person believe in their future. Over the last four years, EPIC has provided 84 grants, delivering over £30,000 in opportunities that help young people grow, thrive and feel seen - but demand still often exceeds what we can fund.
