We look for innovative, capital-light companies that have a great product, exemplary user experience and best-in-class customer support. We only invest in what we understand and where we believe we can add to the knowledge and experience of the management team as the company grows. As a team, we apply lessons learnt from personal entrepreneurial and investment experience to provide a hands-on mentoring approach to a limited number of portfolio companies at any one time. This focused investment approach is designed to ensure that each company gets access to our time and the capital that they need to reach their potential and become large mainstream businesses. Fewer than one in ten firms that obtain seed funding in the UK go on to receive the later stage fourth round investment that is typically needed to become a mainstream business.
