About Those Vegan Cowboys
Those Vegan Cowboys make real milk proteins and cheese, without the cow. Instead, we built ourselves an Iron Lady. Margaret has microbes in her udder that eat plants and produce casein (the most important protein in cheese). It's called precision fermentation and gives you dairy without methane & 95% less burden on the environment. And leaves cows 'n their calves in peace, of course. When you’re trying to watch the stars in the middle of the city, you’re gonna miss most of them. We took a step back into the Old West where the stars at night shine big and bright and opened our eyes to new possibilities in the dairy industry. As one famous cowgirl, Dolly Parton, once said, “If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” And that’s exactly what we’re out here doin. Us cowboys put on our thinkin' caps, looked at the facts and figures and got to workin with scientists and their fancy technology. We see ourselves as pioneers on this journey to a more sustainable future where we can respect critters and give ‘em the lives they deserve. In 2020, we gave ourselves 1% chance of success and went for it anyway. Today, we produce real casein that outperforms the cow, develop and test multiple kinds of cheese, work together with 10+ farmers' coöperations and industry partners on even more products and are on the brink of entering the market.
