About UBC EERI Seismic Design Team
We are UBC's EERI Student Seismic Design Team. Our team competes annually at the US National Conference on Earthquake Engineering against top international universities. Each year we design and build a 1:50 scale model highrise building out of balsa wood to be tested against a magnitude 9.0 earthquake. Our team consists of undergraduate Engineering students at UBC and works closely with faculty advisors and graduated mentors from previous years.
