Viridian Members Fund (VMF) is the first member-managed venture fund in the cannabis industry and invests in seed- and early-stage companies with high growth potential in or serving the cannabis industry. A member-managed venture fund is a hybrid model between an angel group and a traditional venture fund. The members of VMF range from experienced angel investors and partners in VC funds to executives of successful companies. Unlike a standard venture fund, the GP is owned by the investors. General membership makes investment decisions pursuant to a committee structure. Committees are set up to handle the business of the fund, with an Executive Committee comprised of volunteer members of the General Partner that provides oversight of the Viridian Members Fund. Our members bring their expertise to the table and can actively participate as much as they like in the fund's investment process. Members are also given the opportunity to make additional investments alongside the fund. VMF invests across subsectors, where it leverages its members’ expertise, to make investments averaging $50,000 to $250,000, each, over the life of the investment.
