About Walk Of Life Training Inc (WOLTi)
WOLTi is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting young people in out-of-home care or Justice System to build behavioural maturity, life skills, and confidence for independent adulthood. Many young people in residential care or the justice system have in their upbringing, experienced disrupted caregiving, trauma, and inconsistent guidance. As a result, critical developmental foundations — including emotional regulation, ethical decision-making, and social responsibility — may be underdeveloped. Without targeted early intervention, this can increase the risk of placement instability, disengagement from education, unemployment, and homelessness after leaving care. WOLTi delivers a structured, mentoring-based Behaviour Maturity and Transition-to-Independence Program designed to address these gaps. Our approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and centred on empowering young people to internalise positive values rather than simply comply with expectations. Through weekly mentoring sessions, practical life-skills development, and guided reflection, we support young people to: • Strengthen emotional regulation and behavioural maturity • Improve decision-making and accountability • Build confidence and self-efficacy • Develop readiness for employment and independent living Our programs are delivered in collaboration with residential care providers and or youth justice and aligned to case plans, organisational KPIs, and Child Safety priorities. We focus on creating safe, respectful environments where young people can lower defences, build trust, and engage in meaningful growth. WOLTi exists to bridge the gap between care and independence — helping young people move from instability to capability, and from uncertainty to opportunity. We believe every young person deserves the tools, guidance, and belief to build a stable and self-sufficient future.
