The quality of our water supply and the levels of heavy metal contaminants in our well water is becoming a bigger issue. Heavy metals like manganese are more bioavailable to our bodies when in drinking water (vs eating, breathing them etc). The US is slowly catching up. Health authorities are now deleting statements like manganese is ‘just a nuisance’ or ‘does not pose a threat to human health’.
