About Wesant Manufacturing
Founded in 1995 by Digby Wareing, Wesant initially started out manufacturing hoist gates out of the family garage. This small family business has since grown into one of South Africa’s largest manufacturers of passenger elevators, goods hoists, dumbwaiters and platform lifts. Over and above this, Wesant also provides various electrical components (electrical, guides, locks and safeties) for lifting equipment. The Wesant family has now grown to over 26 full time employees with its head office and factory now based in Pinetown, Kwazulu Natal. Wesant has supplied the South African market with over 1000 units in total and the factory is currently producing over 100 units per year. First and foremost, Wesant prides itself on its workmanship and quality control and all its products comply with current regulations governing each specific type of equipment in the SANS 1545 series. Wesant also adheres to the recommendations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85/1993 at all times. Having established itself as one of the leading manufacturers of lifting equipment and components in South Africa, Wesant is now looking for further business opportunities, especially providing units and components into the African market.
