About Wits RHI
Wits RHI is one of the largest research institutes of the University of the Witwatersrand. Our Vision: Tackling Africa's health challenges through science and innovation. Our Mission: As a renowned African institute in a world class African university, Wits RHI addresses some of the greatest public health concerns affecting our region, including HIV and its related problems, sexual and reproductive health, and vaccinology. Our strength lies in our multidisciplinary and holistic approach. We identify health problems through sound epidemiological methods and qualitative research, use a range of analytic and research methods to generate evidence, then test and evaluate interventions in a real-world setting. We furthermore provide technical assistance, advocacy and capacity building to ensure effective implementation, and finally translate evidence into policy.
